As the Open Horizon Criminal Justice Fellow, Hirsch works with various individuals and organizations in D.C. to create policy with the goal of improving the current criminal legal system for all Washingtonians. Hirsch received a J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in 2026. While there she served as the Senior Managing Editor of Law Review, as the president of the OUTLaw student organization, and as a teaching assistant for legal research and writing. During law school, Hirsch was a student attorney in the Post-Conviction Criminal Defense Clinic and in the Legislation Clinic and served as a policy clerk at Children's Law Center. She also holds a B.A. in Government and International Politics from George Mason University.
